Plaster mouldings are made out of moulding plaster, water, and a reinforcing material. Plasters are Heavy

Another myth that revolves around plaster mouldings is that they are heavy. Plaster can get heavy than a resin or foam products. However, a huge percentage of a plaster moulding’s initial weight comes from the water. Once the curing is done, the water found on plasters moulding will evaporate. As the water evaporates, the weight of the plaster moulding will decrease significantly.

Moreover, the use of reinforcing materials can help the plaster mouldings become lightweight. Through hollowing out the backside of the plaster moulding, its weight would become light together with the use of reinforcements.
